Water Pressure Issues

Water Pressure Issues

Many of you may have experienced low water pressure over the past 24 hours. We understand the concern this caused and appreciate your patience while we work to resolve the issues.

The situation began with a period of unstable power at the water plant. We shifted the plant to generator power as a backup. Unfortunately, the generator shut off in the middle of the night due to a malfunction. We had someone onsite to addres the problem within 30 minutes and had a repair technician come out theh next day to help with a temporary solution. He did not have parts on hand to fully resolve the problem but it will be fixed on Monday.

To prevent any future issues and minimize additional system downtime, we have taken the following steps:

  • Ensured the diesel tanks on the generator are full.

  • Bypassed the issue that caused the generator to shut down until a permanent fix can be made.

  • Checked to make sure the replacement motors for the wells are available and in stock, should something catastrophic happen.

Thanks to everyone for helping conserve water during the high temperatures. We are coordinating with Jordan Ranch's operator to encourage water conservation and they are doing their part. If we all continue to make small changes in daily usage, we can avoid the drought contingencies that seemed inevitable just a few days ago.
