Detention Pond Enhancements Construction Update #10
The second phase of our major project for Detention ponds G & H is kicking off!
At our August meeting, the Board reviewed four bids:
Triple E Growers: $777,427.00
Junction Landscape: $840,172.82
Earth First Landscapes, LLC: $922,648.75
Texas Wall Systems, LLC: $967,056.00
We awarded the contract to Triple E Growers as this was the lowest bid, met District requirements, and was under the approximately $850,000 allocated for the project. Director Chachere attended a project kickoff meeting on September 9th and notice to proceed was issued.
Work should begin within the next week. We expect the project will take about three months to complete, depending on the weather and other conditions.
The first step will be the sidewalk around Detention G (behind the pool). Construction will start at Kingsland, go around the pool, and then on towards Willowmoor. You can see the flags marking the location for the sidewalk now. Weather permitting, the sidewalk should be completed in about a month.

While every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience and mess, please keep in mind that there may be construction debris and mud while the project is ongoing.
